Shipping Methods and Delivery Costs

We deliver our wooden packaging solutions throughout Italy and to the following European countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Hungary.

Our transport options include:

• Standard / Economy Service: via BRT express courier, Palletways network, or Susa Trasporti.
• Fast / Express Service: priority delivery via BRT or Palletways Premium.
• Free Pickup on Site: directly at our production facility in Altopascio (Lucca, Italy).

Shipping Discounts and Free Delivery (Standard Price List)

On imballoinlegno.it, transport costs decrease as your cart value grows. For standard price list orders over €79, you receive an instant freight discount, up to free shipping on orders over €249.

*Terms & Exceptions: Free shipping applies exclusively to standard price list orders delivered to mainland Italy (islands excluded). Wood sawdust, wooden cable reels/drums, and products exceeding 230 cm in length are excluded from free delivery. For excluded products, a maximum shipping discount of up to 30% of the total order value applies. The applicable discount is shown in red during checkout alongside estimated transit times.
Please note: Purchases made under the industrial price list do not qualify for shipping discounts or free delivery; shipping charges are calculated at full rate based on weight, volume, and destination.

How Freight Costs Are Calculated

Shipping costs are calculated automatically in your shopping cart prior to order confirmation based on:

• Total weight and package dimensions;
• Delivery address and province/postal area (please ensure shipping details are accurate to avoid carrier adjustment fees);
• Volumetric parcel stacking: our algorithm automatically calculates the most efficient combination of items to minimize the number of packages and reduce transport costs.

All shipping charges include order preparation and packaging handling. Separate orders cannot be merged retroactively and will incur distinct shipping costs.

Understanding Freight Rates for Oversized or Single Items

Most of our wood products travel on pallets. Standard pallet transport tariffs are based on a minimum footprint of 1.2 m² and 80 cm in height. As a result, shipping a single small box often costs almost the same as shipping multiple items packed together: the more you maximize pallet volume, the lower the shipping impact per unit.

For bulky consignments or deliveries close to our manufacturing facility, we also deploy dedicated freight vehicles to guarantee the most competitive rates.

Delivery Terms and Additional Services

• Curbside delivery: Delivery is strictly curbside (street level) at the nearest accessible point for the transport vehicle.
• Telephone notification: Drivers will contact you by telephone prior to arrival.
• Hydraulic tail lift: For palletized freight over 50 kg, a tail lift is requested by default whenever supported by the carrier's truck.
• Floor delivery / manual carrying: Floor delivery or manual unloading inside buildings is not included. If required, it must be requested and quoted prior to dispatch.

Deliveries to Minor Islands and Venice Lagoon

Orders to the Venice Lagoon and minor/offshore islands incur carrier surcharges.

This supplement is quoted and communicated after checkout. If you find the carrier surcharge unacceptable, you may cancel your order at no penalty with a 100% full refund.

You can collect your order free of charge directly at our production hub:

Return Policy on Custom & Made-to-Order Products

Due to the customized nature of technical industrial wooden packaging, made-to-order and custom-sized products cannot be returned, except in cases of proven non-conformity (e.g., dimensions substantially different from the confirmed order specifications).
